My hometown is Rockford, Illinois, but I have been a Packer fan ever since the Ice Bowl, which is the first game I remember watching. I completed my B.A. at Northwestern University with a double major in English Literature and Political Science. After graduating, I married my high school sweetie, Becky Brooks, and we moved to St.Louis, where I went to law school at St. Louis University while Becky started her teaching career. We moved back to Rockford after I received my J.D. from SLU, but within a few years we wound up in Allouez, a Green Bay, Wisconsin suburb, where we raised our three great kids and still live to this day. I started my law practice in 1991, leaving behind a 7 year career in the trust services business, where I worked for various banks, and have not looked back since. Becky has taught in the De Pere School District since our arrival in Allouez.
Since starting my practice, I have had the privilege of serving almost 2,000 clients in a variety of matters. Although I am based in Green Bay, I have represented clients in over a dozen counties throughout Wisconsin, including Outagamie, Oconto, Shawano, Marinette, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, and Calumet, several states, as well as the Federal District Courts in Milwaukee and Green Bay and the United States Tax Court.
I work hard to help my clients realize the goals of their particular situation. Along the way, many of my clients have become friends, which is a natural outcome of the emphasis I put on building a solid relationship with them.
I believe in giving back to the community that has given so much to me and my family. I have proudly served on the boards of the Family Violence Center, my church and the Bay Area Humane Society. I was also a coach for Green Bay East High School’s champion Mock Trial Team.
